OneLiner Training startup failure with error message: " Unable to locate a Hasp HL key with Sentinel on the network. Program abort."

 

This error message indicates that the program had failed to connect to the ASPEN license key on the ASPEN server for license authentication.

 

TO TROUBLSHOOT THIS ERROR

 

1.   Enter ASPEN license server configuration settings in the Sentinel Admin Control Center on your machine:

-    Start internet browser on the machine with the OneLiner Training Sofware, enter the following in the address bar and press Enter:

http://localhost:1947

-    The Sentinel Admin Control Center should open. If it does not, run the Training Sotware setup again as windows user with Admin privileges and try again.

-    In the Sentinel Admin Control Center, click on "Configuration" in the left side menu bar. Open the "Access to Remote License Managers" tab

-    In the "Remote License Search Parameters" edit box, enter:

webapps.aspeninc.com

-    Mark the check boxes: “Allow Access to Remote Licenses” and “Aggressive Search for Remote Licenses”

-    Click on the Submit button.

-    Click on "Sentinel keys" in the left side menu bar and refresh the page until one entry with the vendor code of 42254 will appear.

-    If the above fails to appear, contact your company’s IT help desk to request the network access from your machine to the following server and port:

Server name: webapps.aspeninc.com

Port number: TCP1947
